In 1687, Abbot Maarten a Colle built this chapel out of pride because he had won the trial against Abbot Terasse. The process for the title of abbot at Duinen was conducted before King Louis XIV. This chapel is covered with coats of arms of a Colle, ter Duinen and ter Doest.
